Kevin was born and has always lived in Wellington. After a career in advertising and graphic design Kevin decided in 2005 to try painting full time.

Since then Kevin has not looked back and spends much of his spare time listening to music and painting. ‘I love it', says Kevin. ‘I started out not having a clue what to do or how to do it, but by experimenting I have found a style I enjoy and I have become part of my paintings.'

‘They are a retro subconscious trip back to my childhood, when every Christmas the family would go on holiday and I would spend the six best weeks of the year.'

‘The thing was it took all day to get there and I would ignore all the untouched beauty of our country. All I wanted to do is get there and start my adventure.'

‘Now I travel again – same journey, different roads.'

It is unusual for Fishers Fine Arts to take on an artist with just a year's experience, but it is the paintings that sway our decision.

Kevin is an exciting new artist whose quality and charming narrative won us over very easily. Kevin's journey has only just begun, but the horizon looks bright for the future.
