My artwork comes from my heart, the love of the land and the people tied to it. Living in Queenstown, the landscape asks to be remembered as do the people we love. From ‘Early pioneering’ days to the present day; my paintings include history, iconic scenes, places of phenomenal beauty that are at the core of my being. Inspiration comes from family & friends, their love and respect of nature, and from loved ones whose voices can no longer be heard. Art for me is about moments of accumulated beauty expressed through art in an impressionist way. A self-taught artist, I use oil paint, incorporating techniques of the ‘Traditional Old Masters’.
